It is exactly that which you hold in your hands (or see on your screen): an idea. This portfolio is my idea manifested in numerous projects and works of art, a synthesis of my thought, design and fabricatino methods. These ideas and methods are, however, always in development as I continue my studies in architecture, music and the sciences. It is this continual, self-feeding process of learning and applying that I hope will invigorate my work to reach even higher levels.
I typically involve myself in selecting a single idea, or perhaps two ideas that go hand-in-handm and attempt to understand how it works in as many ways as possible. This includes, but does not limit itself to, its technical application, aesthetic appearance, constructional properties and relation to human experience. As a result, it is crucial to embrace the iterative cycle and the benefits it provides. It is the process of working continuously and tirelessly on an idea that ultimately helps a building or project see reality. Although the majority of projects showcased here are not literally buildings, my principles and approach to design problems remain constant. Inspired design is the natural result of spaces that have relevance and celebrate a certain aesthetic resonance. This should be evident in all mediums I use, not just one.
It is my hope that in perusing this portfolio, you gain insight in how I work as an artist, architect, and problem-solver.
